Product Description
?1. Overview
BlazeDNS UHSID is a DNS client designed specifically for Windows, offering robust support for both IPv4 and IPv6 protocols.
⚙️2. Important
You need to set 127.0.0.1 manually by clicking the BUTTON (Set DNS IP as 127.0.0.1 and ::1) and updating the system DNS IP (For more help click on Documentation on left side)).
While we can automate this process for user convenience, it necessitates additional privileged permissions from the user (Administrator Access).
We decided NOT to request this privileged permission; so that during installation time, absolutely ZERO personal or system data is ever accessible to this application.
We also want our users to be aware of purpose of DNS and understand how to reset their settings if they choose to do so.
IPv4
Preferred DNS: 127.0.0.1
Alternate DNS: 8.8.8.8
IPv6
Preferred DNS: ::1
Alternate DNS: 2001:4860:4860::8888
⏳3. Advantages for Users with Slow Connections: Higher Speed, More Consistent, Queue Minimization.
The real advantages of this approach become particularly apparent for users with slower or intermittent internet connections, such as those using 4G or 5G in areas with poor coverage. Instead of relying solely on their ISP’s DNS for resolution, users can leverage three of the top-performing DNS resolvers, thereby experiencing a more efficient resolution process and minimizing the length of the queues. For broadband users, the overhead of DNS resolution is smaller already, since each resolution is done faster. But they can get the benefit of redundancy and lower queue length.
⚡4. Why not just use the default DNS resolver or set it to 8.8.8.8? Latency, Public DNS, Performance, Redundancy.
Using the default DNS resolver typically provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) can lead to slower resolution times. In contrast, well-known public DNS servers like 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 often deliver faster responses. However, if you manually set your DNS to 8.8.8.8, only that resolver will be utilized, preventing the use of alternatives like 1.1.1.1 at the same time. This is where BlazeDNS UHSID comes in, as it enables the simultaneous use of multiple DNS resolvers.
?️5. How does BlazeDNS UHSID function? Query Routing
Instead of directing your DNS queries to a single resolver, BlazeDNS UHSID intercepts each request and randomly distributes it among several DNS resolvers. It retrieves the responses from these resolvers and then relays the information back to the application that initiated the request.
?6. App USP: Multiple DNS Resolvers: Parallel Processing, Resolver Support.
BlazeDNS UHSID supports a range of parallel DNS resolvers, including 1.1.1.1, 8.8.8.8, and 9.9.9.9, along with their IPv6 counterparts. While most DNS clients permit the selection of one provider for IPv4 and another for IPv6, and some allow specific rules for using different providers for various websites, they typically do not offer the option to randomly round-robin multiple servers for each individual request.
?Privacy
This software only resolves a domain's IP address and does not access your browsing data.
When your browser needs to display a webpage, it performs two steps: 1. Retrieve the IP address of the domain name. 2. Load the content from that IP address. This application handles only the first step and does not perform the second. The browser exclusively manages the loading of content from the IP address.
A logging feature is available in the settings and is DISABLED by default. If you wish to examine the domains you visit, you can activate logging to gather data for manual review. Even when logging is enabled, the software does not transmit any log data to external sources.
