Product Description
Watchbird puts a small black notch at the top of your Windows screen that shows what your AI coding agents are doing – and lets you answer them without hunting for the right terminal.
Run several agent sessions at once and keep working in other windows. When an agent wants to edit a file, run a command, asks you a question or has a plan ready, the notch opens with a card: see the diff or the command, then allow it once, deny it (optionally with a note) or always allow it for this project. When a session finishes or fails, you get a short summary and can jump straight to its terminal or editor window.
Works with Claude Code, Codex CLI, GitHub Copilot CLI, Gemini CLI, Cursor, OpenCode, Qwen Code, Factory Droid, Cline and Devin. Features depend on what each agent's hooks support: Claude Code, Codex CLI, Copilot CLI, OpenCode, Qwen Code and Devin can be approved from the notch; Cursor supports shell and MCP approvals, Factory Droid optionally; Gemini CLI and Cline show when they are waiting for you and take you to the terminal or editor. Agents running in WSL are supported too. The agents themselves are not included and must be installed separately.
Everything stays on your PC. Watchbird has no account, no server of its own and no telemetry. It connects the agents through their official hook settings (it backs up every configuration file before changing it, and removes its entries again with one click). Phone notifications through your own Telegram bot or ntfy are optional and off until you set them up.
Also included: • A small bird in the notch shows the state: it pecks while agents work, hops when one waits and sleeps when everything is done – with a face, a coloured glow and a look at your pointer • Night shift: queue tasks per project; Watchbird works through them overnight, carries on after limits and shows a morning report • Do not disturb by itself during calls, presentations and fullscreen apps, with a summary afterwards • Bird calls for every kind of event, a weekly recap to share and six more birds to collect • Autopilot for 15, 30 or 60 minutes: allows only what your rules allow – risky commands always ask • Rules for all projects or one: allow, allow in autopilot, always ask or deny • After a usage limit, Watchbird continues the session as soon as the limit resets (Claude Code and Codex in a terminal) • Warnings for stuck sessions: no activity for a long time, a command that never ends, or the same call again and again • Every session shows the icon of the program it runs in • Session list with status, project, branch and terminal; the notch shows the most important state at a glance • Start a new agent task from anywhere with a shortcut, or drop files on the notch to attach them to a session • Send follow-up messages to a running session; they are delivered when the agent is ready • Usage limits of Claude and Codex (5-hour window and week) and a daily request count for Gemini CLI • Sounds per event, quiet hours, do not disturb, and a silent mode for fullscreen apps and presentations • Global keyboard shortcuts for everything, including allow, deny and jump • Multiple monitors: fixed display or follow the mouse; snap positions or free placement • Interface in English, German, Spanish and French
