Product Description
Tarjuman is a translator that runs entirely on your PC. The AI language model lives on yourgraphics chip, so confidential contracts, HR documents, client emails and personal messages aretranslated without ever being uploaded to a server.
It does more than translate. Pick the register you need and Tarjuman writes the translation in thatvoice:
Formal — corporate: courteous, precise, no slang. For clients, official letters and contracts.
Academic: objective, precise terminology, measured tone. For papers and reports.
Neutral: clear everyday language.
Casual — friends: warm and conversational. For messages and personal notes.
Marketing: short, punchy, persuasive. For ads, posts and product copy.
Literary: for poetry, stories and lyrical prose — every image stays an image, verse keeps itslines, a "Polish" pass revises any paragraph like a literary editor, and a fidelity checklists anything left out, added or changed and repairs it before you see it.
Choose how the reader is addressed (formal "vous / Sie / حضرتكم" or informal), add a one-line noteabout the audience, and for Arabic pick Modern Standard, simplified Standard, or an experimentalcolloquial variety (Levantine, Gulf, Egyptian). Translate between languages, or keep the samelanguage and only change the tone.
Idioms, metaphors and proverbs are rendered by meaning, never word for word. The "Explain idioms"button on any paragraph lists the expressions found, what they mean literally, how they wererendered and the cultural context behind them — including wordplay such as jinās and doublemeanings, with every sense of the repeated words spelled out. Switch on "Localize cultural references" to swapsports, food and holiday references for ones the reader will recognize.
Whole documents, not just snippets:
Word (.docx): paragraph styles, headings, numbering and tables are kept; right-to-left layout isset automatically for Arabic, Urdu, Persian and Hebrew.
PDF with a text layer: text is extracted, translated and exported as Word or text.
Excel (.xlsx) and CSV tables: cells with text are translated; numbers, dates and formulas stayuntouched, and sheets switch to right-to-left for Arabic.
Scanned documents and images (scanned PDF, PNG, JPG, TIFF): built-in on-device OCR recognizesthe text first (Arabic, English, French, German, Spanish and Turkish bundled; other languagesdownload once), then translates it. Nothing is uploaded.
Plain text, Markdown and subtitle (.srt) files: timing and formatting are preserved.
A glossary locks names, product terms and abbreviations so they stay consistent; Tarjuman can suggestthe terms from the text.
A translation memory on your PC reuses sentences you have translated before, instantly.
Twenty-two languages: Arabic, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish,Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Urdu, Persian, Hebrew, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Greek,Indonesian and Malay. Interface in English and Arabic.
How it works: on first launch you choose a translation engine — Light, Standard or Pro — and Tarjumandownloads it once (1 to 5 GB). From then on it works with no internet connection. Larger engines give better idioms and dialects and need more graphics memory; see the system requirements.
Tarjuman contains no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
