Product Description
SpringDesk is the desktop organizer made for Windows 11. It gathers your icons into boxes of clear glass that sit right on the wallpaper and look like they came with Windows. New files put themselves away, Space shows what's inside, and typing on the desktop finds anything. Buy once, no subscription.
The first time it runs, SpringDesk sorts what's already on your desktop into boxes for apps, files, folders and downloads. Nothing is moved or deleted: your files stay exactly where they are, SpringDesk only shows them in order.
So clear, it's barely there
Your boxes are clear glass. Only the edges catch the light, so your wallpaper shines right through, live wallpapers included. SpringDesk follows Windows' light and dark mode, and on a busy wallpaper you can lower the transparency to frost the glass over.
Every new file finds its place
The sorting box has a tab for each kind of file: documents, spreadsheets, slides, PDFs and pictures, plus videos, archives, installers and links if you want them. Save or download a file to the desktop and it goes straight to its tab, with a quick flash to show you where. No rules to write. Anything SpringDesk can't place waits in the Inbox, so nothing gets lost.
Look inside anything. Press Space.
Select an icon and press Space. Pictures, videos, music, text, code and PDFs open in an instant, without launching an app. The arrow keys flip to the next one, and other files show their details at a glance.
Lost something? Start typing.
Click the desktop and type a few letters, or press Ctrl+Alt+Space from anywhere. Every box and tab is searched as you type, folder boxes included.
Room for everything
Drop one box onto another to turn them into tabs. Roll a box up to its title bar when you need the space, and lock your layout so nothing moves by accident. Boxes snap to a grid and never overlap, so the desktop stays neat however you rearrange it. Folder boxes put any folder, such as Downloads, right on your desktop, sorted by name, date or type.
Works the way Windows does
Double-click to open, right-click for Windows' own menu, drag files in and out, cut, copy and paste, rename with F2, and press Delete to send things to the Recycle Bin. Nothing new to learn.
Careful with your desktop
SpringDesk remembers a separate layout for each display setup, so your boxes come back exactly where they were when you change resolution, scaling or connect by Remote Desktop. It backs up your layout every day, so you can go back to an earlier one at any time. Quit SpringDesk and Windows' own desktop is back as it was. Turning off "Show desktop icons" in Windows hides the boxes too.
