Buffers are allocated once from a pre-reserved pool and reused for the whole run, instead of being requested and released for every image. No allocator churn, no fragmentation, no stutter forty minutes into a long session. • IT SCALES TO WHAT YOU OWN. Soveryn reads your CPU core count, your RAM, and every GPU in the box at launch, then sizes its worker pools to fit. On a laptop it stays out of your way. On a workstation with two cards it uses both. You do not configure this — and it keeps watching, giving cores back the moment you need them for something else. • IT USES THE WHOLE GPU. Decode, detection, scoring and embedding run on your graphics card through CUDA and Tensor cores, with AMD and Intel supported through DirectML. The JPEG decoder itself runs on the GPU. • SIMD THROUGHOUT. The hot loops are vectorised. Nothing is left on the table. The result is simple: the same catalogue that takes a subscription cloud service twenty minutes of upload before it starts, Soveryn has already finished. ── WHAT IT ACTUALLY DOES ── CULLING. Focus and sharpness measured at the pixel level — not a guess from a thumbnail. Burst detection keeps the best frame of every sequence. Faces are checked for eyes open and sharp. LIBRARY. Search your photographs by what is in them. Type "red bicycle in snow" and get the picture, whether or not you ever tagged it. Colour, subject and scene are indexed locally. DUPLICATES. Perceptual matching finds the same photograph again even after it has been resized, re-saved or lightly edited. Nothing is ever deleted — copies are moved to a folder you can walk back. TETHERED CAPTURE. Shoot straight into Soveryn from Canon, Nikon and Sony bodies. Live histogram, focus peaking, clipping warnings. Timelapse, bracketing, bulb and astro sequences. Multiple bodies at once. INTEGRITY. Every byte of every file is read and every image is actually decoded — so silent corruption surfaces while the shot still exists somewhere else. RAW, JPEG, HEIC, TIFF, PNG, WebP and DNG, straight out of the camera. ── PROTECTION AGAINST AI TRAINING AND EDITING ── Anyone can copy a photograph off the internet. Soveryn writes your ownership into the pixels themselves — into every 512-pixel tile of the frame, each one recording where it sits, so a crop or a painted-over subject still leaves whole intact copies behind. A second record survives being resized, which happens the moment an image is uploaded anywhere. Then there is the part that fights back. Soveryn can alter your pixels in a way your eye does not register but an image model does: train on that photograph, or try to edit it, and the model sees something other than your picture. Measured against Stable Diffusion and the editors built on it, an attempted edit came back unrecognisable. It also writes a machine-readable AI opt-out using the published IPTC and PLUS rights fields — the form that licence terms and data-mining reservation law actually cite. We are straight with you about the limits, in the app and here. A closed model built differently may be unaffected. This is an arms race, and an update on their side can reduce the effect. It is proof and friction, not a lock — and it is more than anyone gives you today. ── YOUR WORK IS YOURS ── Your photographs are yours. Your metadata is yours. The AI models you train on your own pictures are yours. Soveryn opens exactly one network connection, and only when a photograph already carries GPS coordinates and you want a place name: those coordinates alone are sent to a lookup service. No image, no thumbnail, no filename, no account, no identifier. Photographs without coordinates never touch the network at all, and there is an offline place-name database for when you would rather it never happened. That is the entire list.
