Product Description
Inspect an exported Windows Security Template without applying or changing its policies. Security Template Inspector turns raw INF settings into a structured, searchable view of policies, privilege rights, registry values and other declared security settings.
INSPECT DECLARED SECURITY SETTINGS
Open a local Security Template INF file and review its contents in a clear structured interface. See System Access settings, Event Audit entries and other detected sections without working through raw INF text.
REVIEW PRIVILEGE RIGHTS AND PRINCIPALS
Inspect declared user rights together with their assigned SIDs and readable labels for recognized principals. Raw identifiers remain visible so the original file stays the source of truth.
EXPLORE REGISTRY, FILE AND SERVICE SETTINGS
Review declared Registry Values, File Security, Service Security and other supported Security Template sections. Search across settings and filter by section to focus on the information you need. Unknown sections inside an accepted template remain visible instead of being silently discarded.
EXPORT A CLEAR REPORT
Export analyzed settings to CSV for spreadsheet or downstream workflows, or create a readable TXT report for documentation and support handoff.
LOCAL, READ-ONLY INSPECTION
Files are inspected locally and the selected source file is not modified. The app reports settings declared in the Security Template; it does not apply policies or scan the current computer.
GOOD TO KNOW
The .inf extension is also used by other Windows file types, including driver setup files. Security Template Inspector detects Security Template-style content and clearly rejects unsupported driver or generic INF files. It does not determine whether declared settings are currently active, secure, compliant or appropriate for a particular environment.
