Windows Terminal has no menu bar anywhere in its window. Lintel still finds its commands. Press Ctrl+Shift+Space in whatever application you are using. Type four letters. Lintel searches that application's own commands by name and runs the one you pick. A command palette — for every application on your machine, not just the ones that shipped with one. A MENU BAR THAT FOLLOWS YOUR WINDOWS Lintel also puts the menus of the focused application in one strip at the top of the screen, and swaps them as you switch windows. Windows has never had a single fixed place where every command lives. This is that place. HOW IT READS ANOTHER APPLICATION'S MENUS Three routes, tried in order, and Lintel tells you which one it used for each application: - The application's own menu resource. Notepad++ alone yields 596 commands. - Accessibility — the same interface a screen reader uses. Covers Visual Studio Code, VLC, DaVinci Resolve and many more without being told. - Menus maintained by hand, for applications that publish nothing readable: Chrome, Firefox, Word, Excel, Explorer, Terminal. MEASURED, NOT CLAIMED Every copy keeps a coverage table: which applications you actually used, where their menus came from, how many commands were reached, and how many of those could actually be run. On the developer's machine over 158 hours: 94% of that time spent in applications whose menus were in the bar, 1,611 commands read, 1,562 of them runnable. Your figures will differ. The point is that the product counts, and shows you the count. WHAT IT WILL NOT DO - Applications running as administrator are out of reach. Windows does not permit it. Lintel says so rather than appearing broken. - Applications that expose nothing get their name and no menus. Lintel does not invent a menu. - No code injection. No global keyboard hook. No screen capture. WHAT LEAVES YOUR MACHINE Nothing. Lintel opens no connection: no account, no licence server, no update check, no telemetry. It reads whether you are online, because it draws a Wi-Fi indicator, and asks nothing of the network beyond that. Settings and the coverage table live in %LOCALAPPDATA%\TopBar and nowhere else.
