Every key has its own response, and always the same one: the letter A is always red, always with an apple, always with the same musical note. That repetition teaches three things at once. The letters and numbers, which appear huge on the screen. The first words, spoken out loud with every key: "A for Apple". No letter is out of reach. It is not just a translated interface: in Korean the child sees ㄱ for 기린, in Japanese あ for あり, in Arabic ش for شمس — the real alphabet of each language, with that language's words and voice.
