Product Description
Find hidden content, remove sensitive metadata, and extract embedded files before you share documents or photos—or use documents with AI tools.
File Deep Info helps you inspect Office documents, PDFs, and images for information you may not notice: author names, company details, photo GPS locations, hidden text, hidden worksheets, and embedded attachments. It also identifies actual file formats, helping you investigate unknown files and misleading extensions.
Files are analyzed locally on your Windows PC. No upload is required, and metadata removal saves a new copy without overwriting the original.
DISCOVER HIDDEN TEXT AND DOCUMENT CONTENT
Look beyond the visible page to check for:
• Hidden text, white-on-white text, and text matching cell backgrounds
• Hidden worksheets, rows, columns, and slides
• Comments, speaker notes, and master content
• PDF text concealed by visual overlays, transparent text, and hidden layers
• Data appended to the end of a file and indicators of image steganography
Before sharing a document or using it with an AI tool, inspect hidden text for unexpected instructions or other content that is not visible during normal viewing.
Findings help you investigate what a file contains. Hidden-text inspection does not determine whether instructions are malicious or guarantee detection of every prompt injection attempt.
CHECK DOCUMENT PROPERTIES AND AUTHOR INFORMATION
Review author names, company details, last-saved-by information, creation and modification dates stored inside documents, and custom properties.
See what a document may reveal about its authors and editing activity before sending client materials, submitting applications or papers, or sharing files outside your organization.
REMOVE SENSITIVE METADATA
Select supported metadata fields to remove from Office documents, PDFs, and images, then export a cleaned copy.
Remove information you do not want to share, such as supported author and company fields, photo locations, and device details. Available removal options depend on the file format and field.
Metadata removal does not erase all tracked changes, revision history, or hidden document content. Some findings may require separate editing in the application used to create the file.
INSPECT PHOTO EXIF AND REMOVE LOCATION DATA
View EXIF metadata, including GPS coordinates, capture time, and camera or device information.
Check whether a photo reveals where it was taken. Remove supported GPS and other metadata fields before publishing or sharing it, while preserving the original file.
EXTRACT EMBEDDED FILES AND ATTACHMENTS
Discover and extract files stored inside Office documents and PDFs, including Office OLE objects and PDF attachments.
Analyze nested content, identify the actual formats of embedded files, and save them separately for further inspection. Check whether a document contains additional files you did not intend to share.
IDENTIFY ACTUAL FILE FORMATS
Identify file types from their content rather than relying only on filename extensions.
Investigate files with missing or misleading extensions, check for format mismatches, and identify unfamiliar files extracted from embedded objects.
File-type identification helps explain what a file is; it does not establish that the file is safe.
VERIFY FILE INTEGRITY AND PREVIEW FILE HEADERS
Calculate MD5, SHA1, SHA256, SHA512, and CRC32 checksums to help verify file integrity.
Use the Hex preview to inspect file headers and examine format details.
LOCAL PROCESSING. ORIGINAL FILES PRESERVED.
File analysis runs locally on Windows without uploading your files. Choose which supported metadata fields to remove, save a separate copy, and decide which version to share.
