Crosshair Overlay puts a clean, fully customizable aiming crosshair on top of your favorite PC games — so you always have a crisp, consistent point of aim, even in games where the default crosshair is weak, cluttered, or missing entirely. Built as an Xbox Game Bar widget, Crosshair Overlay draws your crosshair on screen the safe, Windows-native way. You design your crosshair in the included editor, pin the widget from Game Bar, and play. Switch between your saved designs or flash custom images on the fly with hotkeys — all without ever touching the game itself. WHAT YOU CAN DO Design your own crosshair - Start simple with a dot, cross, T, X, circle, ring, or line setup, or go further with squares, triangles, stars, hexagrams, diamonds, and gears. - Stack multiple shapes as layers to build something that's truly your own. - Fine-tune length, thickness, gap, scale, rotation, and offset for every layer independently. Make it yours with color - Choose fill and outline colors, set opacity, and round your edges. - Use curated color palettes, build and save your own, keep favorites, and apply a whole palette to your crosshair with a single click. Add effects and motion (optional) - Glow, breathe, hue-cycle, and particle effects. - Spin, pulse, and slide animations. - Mix and match per layer for a look that's static and minimal, subtle, or fully animated — your call. Upload your own images - Import your own image to use as a crosshair and align its exact aim point. - Import custom "meme" images that flash on screen when you press a hotkey — perfect for clips and messing around with friends. Hotkeys and quick switching - Assign hotkeys to instantly cycle between your saved crosshairs mid-match. - Bind meme images to their own hotkeys. - Toggle the overlay on and off without unpinning the widget. Test before you play - Preview your crosshair on built-in game-style backgrounds so you can dial it in before you ever load into a match. HOW IT WORKS Crosshair Overlay installs as one package with two parts: 1. The editor app, where you design and manage everything. 2. The Game Bar widget, which displays your chosen crosshair in-game. To use it, open Xbox Game Bar (Win + G), find Crosshair Overlay in the widget list, and pin it. Click the mouse icon on the Game Bar home bar to enable click-through so your clicks pass straight through to the game. For overlays and hotkeys to work, run your game in Borderless or Windowed mode rather than exclusive Fullscreen — the same requirement as most overlays. EARLY ACCESS — THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING Crosshair Overlay is in its early stages. This is Phase One, and we are actively building on it. A NOTE ON SAFETY AND FAIR PLAY Crosshair Overlay is built on top of Microsoft's Xbox Game Bar, the standard overlay framework included in Windows. It simply draws an image on your screen — the same way overlays such as Discord or the built-in Xbox overlay do. It does not inject code into games, read or modify game memory, or interact with any game process in any way. We deliberately chose this approach so the app stays on the legitimate, Microsoft-supported side of things. In our own testing on the FPS titles Marvel Rivals and Overwatch, both came back clean. That said, anti-cheat systems are controlled by each game's publisher, differ from game to game, and can change at any time, and some games prohibit any third-party on-screen overlay in their terms of service.
