AFile — One-click folder organization, less clutter on your desktop and Downloads AFile is a lightweight Windows file organizer. Open any folder in File Explorer, then use a global hotkey to organize or undo organization in one click—no right-click menus or extra windows. Key features • One-click organize Select the folder you want to tidy in File Explorer and press the hotkey. Choose how to organize and confirm the target location in the dialog; files are then sorted and moved automatically. • Multiple organize modes - Auto: The app analyzes the folder and picks the best balance among "by extension," "by type," and "by size" so you get a sensible number of subfolders. - By extension: Group files with the same extension (e.g. all .pdf, all .docx) into separate subfolders. - By type: Group into categories such as images, video, audio, documents, archives, programs, code, and other. - By size: Small ( 100MB). • One-click undo For a folder you just organized, use the undo hotkey to restore files to their previous state—no manual moving back. • Global hotkeys Both organize and undo use global hotkeys, so you don't need to open AFile first. On startup the app picks an available scheme (e.g. organize: Shift+Space; undo: Shift+Z). Check the tray icon for the exact keys. • System tray After launch, the icon sits in the system tray. Left-click to see the current hotkeys and usage; right-click for About, log folder, auto-start toggle, and Exit. • Optional auto-start You can enable auto-start on first run and turn it on or off later from the tray menu. How to use 1. Install AFile from the Microsoft Store; it will appear in the system tray. 2. In File Explorer, open the folder you want to organize (or bring that window to the front). 3. Press the organize hotkey (e.g. Shift+Space), choose a mode in the dialog, and confirm. 4. To undo, press the undo hotkey (e.g. Shift+Z) in the same folder and confirm. Privacy and security • No personal data or file contents are collected or uploaded. • All organizing and undo operations happen on your device. • The app does not access protected system directories; it only works on folders you choose.
