Rainbow Six Siege Tips & R6 Beginners' Guide

2019-07-11 00:42:54

Here are the Rainbow Six Siege (R6) tips, guide & strategies for beginners. If you are looking forward to find some tips to play well with the game, then you are at the right place.

1. Stop running everywhere.

Sound is a huge part of Siege, so the last thing you want to do is go tearing around buildings where you know enemies are never far away. You might have to put your impatience aside and crouch your way around; it makes you harder to spot and makes your footsteps almost silent.

2. Up for the Challenge

As you continue to breach and blast your way through multiplayer, keep an eye on the challenges that are thrown your way. At the very least, you will be offered two right from the start. As you progress, an extra challenge slot will be available, giving the player three. If you are a truly dedicated operative and have purchased the R6 Season Pass, then two more challenges slots will become available. So, higher level Season Pass owners will have five challenge slots at any given point in time, which will reward 200 or more Renown for every challenge completed.

3. Play all the operators, and find which ones work for you

Speaking of operators, your choice of operator can be the deciding factor of the match before it even starts. I recommend playing with each one at some point to familiarise yourself with their weapons and their abilities – after all, there’s no better way to learn than to play.

4. Using and Avoiding Traps and Barriers

If you're defending, traps and barriers are your best friend. You’ll want to use your barriers and reinforcements to make a safe zone (usually around the objective you’re protecting), so that you can focus on other entrances the enemy could use. The idea is to make most of the entrances impassable while allowing a few paths to the objective that you can keep an eye on and lay lots of traps in.

5. Adjust Your Loadout

There's a variety of guns to choose from, including assault rifles, submachine guns, and shotguns. They all handle uniquely, deal different amounts of damage, and will react in a particular way once fired. Each operator has access to a particular set of weapons, and you can customize their design and attachments. The former purely because it’s fun to change the skin of your gun, while the latter has tactical benefits.

No matter what any guide says, the best thing to do is just play the game. In a word, practice is the sole criterion of truth. So, take some time and grind for tips by yourself, hope you can enjoy the gameplay.
