Path of Exile Guide: POE's Blight Expansion Arrives September 6

2019-08-22 01:30:38

Blight is a new expansion of Path of Exile, which will continue to December. This expansion will be released on September 6, 2019 for PC. And it will launch on PS4 and Xbox One on September 9. In this POE Blight expansion, it will bring a new challenge league, powerful items, skill gems, and a shake-up. In the following, you will see them in details.

When Blight commences, you’ll meet a new NPC called Sister Cassia. As the story goes, fungal growths have spread throughout Wraeclast, controlling the minds of nearby monsters. Sister Cassia has built a device that can drain the ichor from the growths, but she needs you to defend it from infected horrors while it operates.

Blight combines the fast, frantic action of Path of Exile’s combat with the strategic fun of tower defense games. To successfully defeat the Blight, you need to make decisions on the fly, stay aware of your surroundings, and plan for what may lay ahead. Successfully defending Cassia’s pump rewards you with valuable weapons and armour, and special oils which Cassia can use to anoint your rings and amulets with powerful enchantments.

Revised Atlas: The Atlas of Worlds update will receive some upgrades once again. In the Blight expansion, players can now interact with Masters in the player hideout. Furthermore, new Master missions are available for players to dive into.

The Blight league will have two main types of special bling associated with it. First are the oils. Are you ready to enchant jewelry? Because that’s one thing Blight brings! The blight encounters drop different vials of special oils that can be mixed in every conceivable combination to enhance rings or amulets at Sister Cassia.

The Path of Exile Blight launch date is quick approaching, and which means one other league, sweeping high quality of life enhancements, and – after all – some candy loot to grind for between subsequent month and December. This new PoE league is impressed by the tower defence style, and includes putting down buildings to assist you in battle: consider them as sentient medieval turrets.

The blight system appears on every stage, but also extends to the map and atlas endgame system. Maps can roll as blighted, meaning the entire stage becomes one giant tower defense with potentially dozens of wave paths - a perfect opportunity to load up on expansion resources.
